📌 Job Summary
The Air Ticketing Executive is responsible for handling airline reservations, ticket issuance, fare calculation, cancellations, and customer service. The role involves using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to provide accurate bookings, resolve travel queries, and ensure customer satisfaction while following airline and regulatory policies.
🎟️ Key Responsibilities
✈️ Ticketing & Reservations
Create, modify, and manage PNRs
Issue, reissue, revalidate, and cancel airline tickets
Calculate fares, taxes, and surcharges accurately
Handle refunds and rescheduling requests
Check flight availability, fare classes, and seat inventory
💻 System & GDS Operations
Use GDS systems such as Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre
Update booking details and passenger information
Follow airline reservation rules and ticketing procedures
Maintain accuracy in all system entries
📄 Travel Documentation & Policies
Verify passports, visas, and travel requirements
Explain airline policies, baggage rules, and fare conditions
Handle special service requests (SSR)
🗣️ Customer Service & Sales
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person
Provide professional travel advice and solutions
Handle complaints and resolve booking issues efficiently
Upsell ancillary services (meals, seats, baggage, insurance)
📊 Reporting & Coordination
Maintain booking records and transaction reports
Coordinate with airlines and internal departments
Meet daily productivity and sales targets
🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of air ticketing & fare rules
Hands-on experience with GDS systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings
🎓 Education & Qualifications
12th Pass / Graduate
Certification in Air Ticketing / Travel & Tourism (preferred)
GDS certification (Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre) preferred
Freshers with strong aptitude may apply
