Job Summary
Ground Staff are responsible for ensuring safe, smooth, and efficient airport operations while delivering excellent customer service to passengers. The role involves passenger handling, baggage operations, coordination with airline and security teams, and compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist passengers during check-in, boarding, arrival, and transit
Verify tickets, travel documents, and passenger identification
Handle baggage loading, unloading, and transfers (as applicable)
Provide flight information, delay updates, and airport assistance
Coordinate with cabin crew, ramp staff, and security personnel
Ensure compliance with airport safety and security procedures
Handle customer queries, complaints, and special assistance needs
Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and professional conduct
Mandatory Aviation Certificates & Documents
The following documents/certificates are mandatory to work as Ground Staff:
AVSEC Certificate (Aviation Security)
Issued by: BCAS / DGCA or relevant aviation authority
Mandatory for access to airport operational and restricted areas
Airport Entry Pass (AEP) / Security Clearance
Issued by Airport Authority after police and background verification
Dangerous Goods (DG) Awareness Certificate Category 6
As per IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations
Mandatory for check-in, baggage, cargo, and ground handling staff
Ramp Safety / Airside Safety Certificate (Role-specific)
Mandatory for staff working near aircraft and apron areas
Medical Fitness Certificate
Issued by an authorized medical practitioner
Valid Government Photo ID
Passport / Aadhaar / National ID (as applicable)
Note: Some certificates may be provided by the airline or ground handling agency after selection.
Educational Qualification
Minimum: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)
Graduation preferred but not mandatory

Skills & Competencies
Good communication skills (English & local language)

Ability to work under pressure and in shifts
Teamwork and coordination skills
Basic computer knowledge
