roles & responsibilities:

 manage the day to day sales

 coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary

 analyse and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis

 improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

 manage all accounting transactions

 handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

 reconcile accounts payable and receivable

 ensure timely bank payments

 manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

 verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions

 produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

 provide technical support and advice on management

 review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures

 provide input into department's goal setting process

 prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule

 direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
