Job Title: Fiber Optic SplicerJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Splicer to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for telecommunications networks. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality connections, troubleshoot network issues, and follow safety standards while working in various environments.Key Responsibilities:Splice and terminate fiber optic cables using fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.Read and interpret network plans, blueprints, and cable schematics.Test fiber optic networks using equipment such as OTDRs and power meters.Identify and repair cable faults and connectivity issues.Install, route, and secure fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and indoor environments.Maintain accurate records of splicing activities, test results, and repairs.Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.Coordinate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete assignments on schedule.
