JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:We are seeking a highly driven and experienced General Manager - Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial operations. The ideal candidate will oversee strategy development, business development, revenue generation, and customer relationship management. Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or MBA in Sales & Marketing. Minimum 10 - 12 years of proven experience in industrial B2B sales, preferably in water storage tanks, silos, or steel fabrication industry. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and data-driven decision making. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines under pressure.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure timely completion ofproduction targets. Coordinate with the design and planning team for drawing clarifications andmodifications. Maintain and optimize equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency. Track material consumption and communicate with the procurement team toensure timely availability of raw materials. Prepare and maintain daily production reports, job cards, and status updates. Assist in testing, inspection, and installation of tanks/silos at client sites as needed. Liaise with the QC team to resolve any quality-related issues during or postproduction. Support new product development trials and provide technical feedback. Ensure all work complies with company standards, statutory regulations, and clientspecifications.4. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: B. Tech Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 3 - 5 years in water storage, tanks/silos, fabrication industry or similar inrole. Certifications in Auto CAD & SOLID Works or hands on experience. Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and externalstakeholders, including vendors and clients, regarding production updates andtechnical specifications. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including design, quality,procurement, and site execution to ensure smooth workflow and successful projectdelivery. Demonstrate excellent team collaboration by facilitating communication betweenshop floor workers, engineers, and management to align on production priorities. Encourage and maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line withcompany policy and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures forwater tanks, grain silos, and fabricated steel products. Ensure compliance with applicable IS / ASTM / ISO standards, fabrication codes, andcustomer specifications. Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), SOPs, quality checklists, and processdocumentation. Monitor incoming raw materials including steel sheets, fabricated parts, fasteners, andcoatings for quality standards.2. Quality Control Conduct stage-wise inspections during Sheet Cutting, Rolling / Bending, Welding /Fabrication, Surface Treatment / Galvanization / Coating, Assembly & Final Dispatch. Perform dimensional checks, fit-up inspections, welding inspections, coating thicknessverification, and leak / structural tests. Ensure product quality at each stage and coordinate with production teams forcorrective actions.3. Compliance & Documentation Maintain Material Test Certificates (MTC), Inspection Reports, NCR (Non-ConformanceReports), and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions). Support internal, external, and third-party audits. Ensure implementation of ISO standards and quality management systems.4. Vendor Quality & Process Improvement Conduct supplier and vendor quality evaluations. Minimize rejection, rework, and customer complaints through process improvementinitiatives.
