Job Title: Mother Teacher KindergartenDepartment: Pre-Primary / Early Childhood EducationReports To: Head of Pre-Primary / PrincipalJob Summary:The Mother Teacher is responsible for the overall academic, emotional, and social development of children in her class. She serves as a single point of contact for both students and parents, ensuring a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and foundational learning.Key Responsibilities:1. Classroom Management and TeachingPlan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in literacy, numeracy, art, music, and life skills.Use play-based and experiential learning methods to engage children.Maintain discipline in a loving and consistent manner.Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.2. Child Development and CareObserve and track each childs emotional, social, and cognitive progress.Identify learning difficulties or behavioral concerns early and report them to the coordinator.Promote personal hygiene, good manners, and positive social interactions.Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity in children.3. Communication and Parent EngagementAct as the main liaison between parents and the school for all academic and behavioral updates.Conduct parentteacher meetings and share student progress regularly.Communicate sensitively with parents about their childs growth and needs.4. Lesson Planning and Record KeepingPrepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and activities aligned with the curriculum.Maintain student portfolios, attendance records, and assessment reports.Participate in curriculum development and school events.5. Professional ConductWork collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.Uphold school policies, punctuality, and professional decorum.Continuously upgrade teaching skills through workshops and training sessions.Qualifications and Skills:Education: Graduate in any discipline with a Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE or NTT).Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a kindergarten or preschool setting preferred.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and creativityStrong classroom managementProficiency in English and basic computer literacyWork Environment:Full-time, on-campus positionRequires active involvement in classroom activities, school celebrations, and parent programs
