Job Responsibilities:Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams.Perform fitting, assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting machines safely.Perform cutting, drilling, grinding, filing, tapping, and other fitting operations.Inspect components and assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.Assist in machine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and preventive maintenance.Identify mechanical problems and support troubleshooting activities.Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company quality standards.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and other production/maintenance teams.Required SkillsBasic knowledge of mechanical fitting and maintenance.Ability to read basic engineering drawings.Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Good understanding of workplace safety.Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Willingness to work in shifts, if required.Preferred QualificationsITI certificate in Fitter trade from a recognized institute.Apprenticeship or relevant industrial experience is an advantage.Good physical fitness and ability to work on the shop floor.
