As a CNC VMC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and instruments. Machine Setup and Operation:Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.Set up CNC machines by installing and adjusting tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to job specifications.Load materials into machines, input program codes, and initiate machining processes.Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to required specifications and quality standards.Tooling and Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.Inspect tools and equipment for defects or irregularities and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance.Keep work area clean and organized, including proper storage of tools, materials, and equipment.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify conformance to specifications.Identify and troubleshoot issues with machine operation or part quality and make adjustments as necessary to ensure product integrity.Complete documentation and recordkeeping tasks to track production output, machine settings, and quality control data.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Follow company policies and guidelines for machine operation, tool handling, and waste disposal.Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to management immediately.
