Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues. Analyzing users stories and use requirements cases for validity and feasibility Deriving test scenarios and carry out testing as per the defined procedures Creation of test designs , test processes , test cases and test data Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) Design and develop automation scripts when needed and Modifying test cases Configuration of Management planning and traceability metrics document preparation. Understanding the risk Analysis and Test Strategy implementation Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies Collaborate closely with other team members and departments Provide timely solutions based on the defect identified Software Tester is often responsible for creating test product documentation and also has to participate in testing related walk through.
