We urgently hiring Director -School of Government for reputed University at PuneJob Purpose1 Build a vision for the school (SOG) to define medium and long term academic and research direction and priorities.2 Provide Leadership to the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of SOG to be a leading School of Governance3 Enable environment where students learn, thrive and seek to become leaders and innovators of the society.4.Collaborate in Interdisciplinary area and with other members of leadership to develop synergiesbetween Education, Research and service priorities across the University.Principal Accountabilities:What are the major responsibilities of this position1 Oversee Academic Programming :- Prepare Strategic Plan for the Institute incorporating both operational and financial plans.- Continuously evaluate the vision and mission of the Institute and align institutional processes to strategy and mission.2 Design high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of governance with a global perspective and is comparable to the best in the country. Continuous review of plans and programs to ensure that there are no slippages.3 Plan the manpower needs and recruit high-calibre faculty on time to ensure effective delivery of teaching, research and consultancy activities4 Focus on continuous Faculty Development Programs to ensure that faculty members are kept abreast of latest developments in their respective areas of specialization.- Optimum utilization of both physical and human resources that are at the disposal.5 Continuous interaction with the society at large to understand it's changing needs and incorporate the same in developing the curriculum of various programsEngagement of Alumni to mutual benefit.Participate effectively in various activities of the university every time called upon to do soCompliance with the requirements of the Regulatory Authorities.- Increased engagement with other Institutes/Schools in Uni

Roles and Responsibilities: Introduce and implement innovative and latest improvements in practices, administration, and academics to lead the school to rank among the best in Maharashtra. Be an effective leader and perform both Academic and Administrative duties. Establish and promote a creative learning ecosystem for not only the students, but also teachers and staff. Ensure that the school is known for its students who are very happy and confident without being arrogant or undisciplined. Ensure that the teaching staff have high quality and productivity. Supervise classroom teaching and effectively guide, hand-hold and motivate teachers to give their best. Ensure that all provisions of Affiliation and all directions given by CBSE from time to time are strictly complied with. Ensure that the activities of the school are conducted in accordance with all the rules laid down by the local authority, State Education Department, and the respective Board of Examination (CBSE). Effectively co-ordinate with all appropriate sources for updated guidelines and rules. Manage Parent Teacher Association and School Management Committees and ensure that parents who have reasonable expectations are always delighted during parent interface with the school staff and management.Desirable Requirements: i. Excellent knowledge of digital information technologies and skilful in using computers to improve the performance and image of the school.ii. Resident or native of Pune or areas around Pune.iii.
