Core ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance Testing: Oversees destructive and non-destructive testing (impact absorption, penetration, and chin strap retention) to verify compliance with standards like DOT, ECE, SNELL, or ISI.Material & Component Qualification: Inspects incoming raw materials like polycarbonate, fiberglass, EPS (expanded polystyrene), and visor plastics for durability and defect prevention.Process & Quality Control: Monitors production lines (molding, painting, assembly) using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure consistency and prevent manufacturing flaws.Failure Analysis: Performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and uses methodologies like (8D) (Eight Disciplines) or FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) when a batch fails testing or a safety flaw is identified.Defect Documentation & Traceability: Maintains exhaustive documentation for inspection, testing, and supplier audits to ensure complete product traceability.Continuous Improvement: Works alongside design and production teams to enhance aerodynamics, ventilation, and comfort while optimizing manufacturing efficiency and minimizing waste.Key Skills RequiredDeep understanding of ballistic, impact, and mechanical physics.Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and Quality Control software.Strong communication and problem-solving skills for cross-functional collaboration.
