Job PurposeThe Waiter/Steward is responsible for providing friendly, efficient and courteous service to customers while ensuring smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations at the Frozen Bottle Sarjapur Circle outlet.The role involves taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, supporting billing and coordinating with the kitchen and outlet team to deliver an excellent customer experience.2. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer ServiceGreet customers warmly and assist them with seating and menu selection.Explain menu items, products, offers and combos when required.Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/counter team.Serve desserts, beverages and food items promptly and courteously.Check customer satisfaction and respond politely to requests or concerns.Handle customer queries professionally and escalate complaints to the Outlet Manager when necessary.Order & Service OperationsEnsure orders are entered correctly in the POS/order system.Coordinate with the kitchen and counter team for timely order preparation.Ensure the correct items and quantities are served to customers.Follow proper serving and presentation standards.Support takeaway and delivery orders when required.Assist the team during peak hours to maintain quick service.Cleanliness & HygieneMaintain cleanliness of tables, chairs, counters and service areas.Clear used plates, glasses, tissues and other items promptly.Ensure service equipment and utensils are clean and properly arranged.Follow all food safety, personal hygiene and sanitation standards.Maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment throughout the shift.Billing & Cash HandlingAssist customers with billing and payment processes where required.Handle cash, card and digital payments responsibly if assigned.Ensure bills are accurate and properly closed.Report any billing or payment discrepancies immediately to the manager.Inventory & Outlet SupportAssist in maintaining adequate stocks of service items such as cups, spoons, tissues, packaging materials and other consumables.Inform the manager about shortages, damaged items or wastage.Follow proper procedures for handling and storing outlet materials.Support opening and closing activities of the outlet.3. Customer Experience StandardsThe Waiter/Steward is expected to:Maintain a pleasant, positive and professional attitude.Use polite and respectful language with every customer.Maintain personal grooming and a neat uniform.Respond quickly to customer needs.Maintain product and service quality standards.Create a welcoming experience that encourages repeat customers.4. Personal Grooming & HygieneClean and well-maintained uniform at all times.Clean hair and nails and appropriate personal grooming.Regular hand washing and sanitisation.No strong perfumes or inappropriate accessories while on duty.Follow all food-handling and hygiene requirements.5. Skills & CompetenciesGood communication and interpersonal skills.Customer-friendly attitude.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Basic understanding of food service and hygiene.Ability to work as part of a team.Good listening and order-taking skills.Punctual, reliable and disciplined.Willingness to learn and take responsibility.6. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum: 10th / 12th standard preferred.Previous experience in a restaurant, caf, QSR or food-service outlet is an advantage.Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may apply.Basic spoken English and/or Kannada/Hindi is preferred.7. Working ConditionsFull-time role.Shift-based working schedule.Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as per the outlet roster.Ability to stand and move for extended periods.Ability to work during busy periods and handle customer rush professionally.8.
