Equipment Operation: Use and maintain welding machines, torches, grinders, and hand/power tools. Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects, porosity, or non-compliance with standards, and smooth/finish welds. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety rules, including wearing PPE (masks, gloves, boots) and monitoring for hazards like overheating. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding machinery and equipment. Collaboration: Work with other tradespeople (fitters, electricians) and teams to complete projects

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding operations using MIG / TIG / ARC / Gas welding (as required).Read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.Measure, cut, and join metal parts to the required specifications.Set up welding machines and choose appropriate welding tools and materials.Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure quality standards.Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in good condition.Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).Work with fabrication and production teams to meet daily targets.Ensure proper handling of materials and maintain a clean work environment.

As a MIG Welder, your primary responsibility will be to effectively and efficiently weld metal components using MIG welding equipment. You will be required to interpret and work from working drawings to weld various parts and components accurately.Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating plant machinery to ensure all welding tasks are completed to the highest standard. You will also need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
