About Welder:

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.

Material Preparation: Clean, cut, align, and position metal parts for welding.

Welding Operations: Join metal pieces using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Equipment Operation: Use and maintain welding machines, torches, grinders, and hand/power tools.

Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects, porosity, or non-compliance with standards, and smooth/finish welds.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety rules, including wearing PPE (masks, gloves, boots) and monitoring for hazards like overheating.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding machinery and equipment.

Collaboration: Work with other tradespeople (fitters, electricians) and teams to complete projects
