Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding operations using MIG, TIG, ARC, or other welding processes as required.Read and understand engineering drawings, measurements, and welding symbols.Fabricate and assemble MS, SS, and other metal components as per specifications.Carry out welding work on tables, chairs, benches, dustbins, frames, stands, and other fabricated products.Ensure proper alignment, joint strength, weld quality, and finishing of fabricated components.Inspect weld joints for cracks, porosity, and other defects.Operate welding machines and related tools safely and efficiently.Perform grinding, cutting, drilling, and minor finishing work as required.Maintain welding equipment, tools, and the workplace in good condition.Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.Coordinate with the production team to complete jobs within the scheduled timelines.Minimize material wastage and maintain the required quality standards.Required Skills and QualificationsITI / relevant welding trade certification preferred.Experience in welding and metal fabrication.Knowledge of MS and SS welding preferred.Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.Knowledge of welding machines, tools, and safety procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience1-5 years of relevant experience preferred, depending on skill level.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Welding quality and finishing.Production targets and timely completion.Material utilization and wastage control.Compliance with safety standards.Reduction in welding defects and rework.
