The MEPF Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems & Fire Fighting for building and infrastructure projects. This role involvesdelivering efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant MEPF designs that meet client requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:1. MEPF System Design:- Collaborate with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to understand project scope and objectives.- Prepare integrated MEP system designs including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting.- Conduct engineering calculations for load, capacity, and sizing of systems etc.- Develop layouts for ducts, pipes, cable trays, and equipment & schematics.- Selection of equipment including Chillers, Pumps, AHUs, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, and Plumbing Fixtures etc.- Ensure detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications are made as per system requirement.2. Code Compliance:- Ensure all designs comply with local, national, and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IS, NBC, etc.).- Stay updated on changes in building codes and best practices.3. Coordination & Support:- Coordinate between Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting disciplines to resolve design integration.- Provide technical support as may be required during construction, addressing queries and ensuring design intent is met.4. Documentation:- Prepare and maintain design files, calculations, technical reports, and specifications.- Ensure proper version control and organized documentation for records.Qualifications:- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEPF design.- Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, principles, and standards.- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Navisworks and other related design software.- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
