Key Responsibilities and DutiesThe duties are typically split between managing the outbound flow (Export) and the inbound flow (Import).I. Logistics and Supply Chain ManagementShipping Coordination:Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and carriers to arrange optimal transportation (Air, Sea, Road, Rail) based on cost, delivery time, and security.Track and monitor all shipments from dispatch to final delivery, providing status updates to internal teams and customers.Cost Optimization:Negotiate freight rates, warehousing, and customs clearance charges with logistics partners to ensure cost-effective operations.Analyze shipping data to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.Inventory Liaison: Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure materials and finished goods are ready for timely import/export and proper receipt upon arrival.III. Stakeholder and Communication ManagementInternal Liaison: Work closely with the Sales, Finance, Legal, and Production teams to align on shipping schedules, payment terms, and regulatory requirements.External Communication: Communicate with international suppliers (for imports) and international customers (for exports) to finalize orders, resolve shipment issues, and provide excellent service.Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to customs holds, shipment delays, missing documentation, or disputes with logistics providers.
