Pest Control Technician Job RolePosition SummaryA Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, identifying, and treating pest infestations in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The role involves applying safe and effective pest management solutions, ensuring compliance with government regulations, safety protocols, and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & AssessmentConduct site surveys to identify pest infestations and risk areas.Diagnose pest activity, type, and level of infestation.Prepare inspection reports and recommend suitable treatments.Treatment & ApplicationApply pesticides, traps, and other pest management methods as per guidelines.Use equipment such as sprayers, foggers, baiting systems, and drilling machines.Implement both chemical and eco-friendly treatments following safety protocols.Customer ServiceCommunicate effectively with clients regarding pest issues, solutions, and preventive measures.Educate customers on pest prevention and sanitation practices.Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.Compliance & SafetyFollow company SOPs and government regulations (BIS, ISO, FSSAI, etc.).Use protective gear (PPE) and maintain safety standards during chemical handling.Properly store, transport, and dispose of chemicals and equipment.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate service records and reports.Log chemicals used, dosage, and treatment methods.Submit work completion reports for billing and client reference.Maintenance & TrainingMaintain pest control equipment in good working condition.Attend regular training on new pest management techniques and safety protocols.Stay updated with new products, eco-friendly solutions, and industry trends.Required Skills & QualificationsBasic knowledge of pests, chemicals, and control methods.Ability to read and follow technical instructions.Good physical stamina for fieldwork (spraying, drilling, lifting equipment).Strong communication and customer handling skills.Problem-solving and attention to detail.
