Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Tooling: Mount, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments, and cutting tools (inserts, drills, endmills) onto CNC machines. Input machine offsets and establish part zero positions.Component Machining: Load approved CNC programs into the machine control panel. Execute test runs (dry runs) to ensure there are no tool collisions, and continuously operate the machine for mass production.Dimensional Inspection: Conduct regular quality checks on finished parts using precision tools like micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, and bore gauges to ensure components fall within specified tolerances (often within microns).Minor Programming Adjustments: Monitor tool wear and adjust machine speeds, feeds, or tool wear offsets (using basic G-codes and M-codes) to maintain surface finish and dimensional consistency.Daily Maintenance & Housekeeping: Clean chips, sludge, and debris from the machine enclosure. Check and top up coolant and lubricating oil levels daily to ensure smooth machine operation.Shift Logging: Maintain accurate records of the total number of parts produced, scrap material metrics, and tool replacements during the shift.
