- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and evaluate ground/soil conditions prior to project start.- Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, drawings, blueprints and technical specifications in collaboration with architects, structural engineers and other stakeholders.- Estimate quantities, material requirements, labour, equipment and cost budgets for civil construction projects.- Supervise and monitor construction activities on-site to ensure work is proceeding as per design, schedule and quality standards.- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards and company quality guidelines.- Manage coordination between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, site technicians and other personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.- Implement and oversee quality control procedures: inspect workmanship, materials (concrete, steel, earthworks), and ensure specifications are met.- Monitor and record site progress, maintain logs and reports of inspections, deviations, corrective actions and ensure follow-up.- Track project timelines, identify delays or risks, propose corrective measures and work to keep the project on schedule and within budget.- Plan and procure materials, allocate manpower and equipment, optimize resource utilization and minimize wastage.- Obtain necessary permits, approvals and ensure the project adheres to statutory and environmental guidelines.- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, drawings, and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams to align project scope, expectations and deliverables.- Facilitate project meetings, walk-throughs, problem-solving sessions and ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and challenges.
