Mechanical Design: Core & Tank Design: Design transformer cores, tanks, and structural components, ensuring mechanical robustness and ease of assembly. Thermal Management: Develop cooling systems, such as radiators and fans, to manage thermal performance and prevent overheating. 3D Modeling: Create detailed 3D models and mechanical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Stress & Vibration Analysis: Conduct mechanical stress, vibration, and fatigue analysis to ensure components can withstand operational stresses. Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials for mechanical components, considering factors like strength, cost, and compatibility with electrical systems. Manufacturability: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production, ensuring ease of fabrication and assembly.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrated Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure cohesive product development. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve complex design challenges, balancing electrical and mechanical requirements. Project Management: Lead design projects from concept through to production, managing timelines, resources, and quality standards. Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing transformer performance and reliability.Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience:o Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of power transformers, with expertise in mechanical aspects.o Proven track record of designing and developing high-performance transformers for various applications.
