1. store the right amount of materials, goods, and products in the right location to feed the businesss and production's operational demands

2. responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products to feed business operations

3. lead the creation and implementation of best practice warehouse strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

4. ensure storage of both raw materials and finished products are in full adherence with the prevailing best practice and guidelines

5. plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of both raw materials to production and finished goods to distribution teams

6. ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled with an automated system utilizing the help of the warehouse team

7. ensure the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to raw materials and finished products in and out including labeling of all stock items

8. review ways to reduce waste

9. develop and maintain metrics/kpis, reports, process documentation and training, and safety records

10. establish, monitor, and maintain high standards of security in the warehouse by setting security procedures

11. coach, manage and develop warehouse staff and team leaders to optimize performance and meet targets and deadlines

12. communicate with warehouse staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements

13. control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage

14. apply the principles of fefo and/or fifo as appropriate
