checking tickets: ttes and tcs check tickets for passengers in train compartments and on platforms.

ensuring valid tickets: tcs and ttes make sure that passengers have valid tickets and fine those who don't.

maintaining records: ttes maintain records of reservations and other information.

guiding passengers: ttes help passengers find their seats and guide them on the train.

collecting fares: ttes collect fares and supplementary charges.

assisting passengers: ttes help passengers with luggage, food, and other amenities.

maintaining cleanliness: ttes ensure the cleanliness of the coaches.

reporting: ttes report for duty at the station and sign on and off registers.

wearing uniforms: ttes wear clean uniforms with badges, name plates, and numbers.
