Steward (Full Time)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Steward to join our microbrewery taproom team. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft beer, food service, and creating memorable guest experiences. As a Steward, you will be responsible for serving guests, guiding them through our food and beverage selections, and ensuring top-notch hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service: Greet and seat guests, take orders, and provide recommendations on food and craft beer pairings.

Beer Knowledge: Educate guests about our beer selection, brewing process, and flavour profiles to enhance their experience.

Order Management: Accurately relay orders to the bar and kitchen, ensuring timely service.

Serving & Presentation: Serve beer and food following proper pouring and presentation standards.

Upselling: Suggest additional menu items and promotions to enhance the guest experience.

Cleanliness & Organisation: Maintain a clean and organised taproom, including tables, bar areas, and service stations.

Payment Processing: Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Customer Engagement: Build rapport with guests, handle inquiries, and resolve any concerns professionally.

Compliance & Safety: Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible beverage service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience as a waiter, bartender, or server in a brewery, bar, or restaurant is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.

Basic math skills for handling transactions and billing.

Team player with a positive attitude and customer-first approach.

Must meet the legal age requirement for serving alcohol in the location of employment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
