Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Monitoring & Support Activities:
Server, Application and Services health checks
Email checks: scrutinizing numerous notifications/ various reports on daily basis.
Follow up with Prime Brokers/Counterparties on learned issues.
Investigate Sanity test violations (more like investigation of daily regression test results).
Liaise with Software Development, Compliance, Tax and middle office teams on various assessments.
Investigating, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve issues.
Taking ownership of issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
Notify customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status in stipulated timeframe.
Document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures.
Provide timely updates to multiple internal stakeholders and update tickets worked upon.
Excellent team player and able to work under own initiative.
Operations Work:
Recon and Investigation of breaks
Data validation and compilation of various reports on a daily basis.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5+ years of successful application development, integration and support
Bachelors or Masters Degree OR Equivalent education/experience (Commerce discipline preferred).
Industry experience, specifically in investment management, with the ability to talk on a peer-to-peer level with fund members is ALWAYS a plus. It is required for some roles and optional for others.
Highly energetic, pro-active and creative.
Superior presentation skills, both oral and written.
Possible onsite-client travel
