essential duties/responsibilities
monitoring & support activities:
• server, application and services health checks
• email checks: scrutinizing numerous notifications/ various reports on daily basis.
• follow up with prime brokers/counterparties on learned issues.
• investigate sanity test violations (more like investigation of daily regression test results).
• liaise with software development, compliance, tax and middle office teams on various assessments.
• investigating, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve issues.
• taking ownership of issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
• notify customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status in stipulated timeframe.
• document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures.
• provide timely updates to multiple internal stakeholders and update tickets worked upon.
• excellent team player and able to work under own initiative.
operations work:
• recon and investigation of breaks
• data validation and compilation of various reports on a daily basis.
requirements
• minimum of 3-5+ years of successful application development, integration and support
• bachelors or masters degree or equivalent education/experience (commerce discipline preferred).
• industry experience, specifically in investment management, with the ability to talk on a peer-to-peer level with fund members is always a plus. it is required for some roles and optional for others.
• highly energetic, pro-active and creative.
• superior presentation skills, both oral and written.
