Establishing policies with supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of the department

Inspecting parts for damage or defects before they are stocked in inventory

Overseeing new hires by conducting training programs and orientations, as well as providing ongoing supervision to new employees

Maintaining communication with customers to answer questions or resolve issues regarding orders or deliveries

Maintaining an inventory of parts using computer software programs to track part numbers, prices, quantities, and locations in the warehouse

Performing inventory checks to ensure that parts are correctly priced and stocked

Processing invoices for payment to suppliers or vendors, as well as preparing purchase orders for new inventory

Coordinating with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure that shipments are delivered on time to the correct location

Ensuring that the inventory is accurately accounted for in the computer system
