1. Job Purpose
The Solutions Architect contributes to organizational goals through managed ownership and development/design of solution architecture frameworks and roadmaps.
The role ensures governance, standards, operational stability, productivity enhancement, and delivery of responsive and cost-effective solutions aligned to business needs.
2. Key Objectives & Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Responsible for complete solution design, analysis, and implementation roadmaps.
Define and govern architecture landscape documentation.
Drive short & long-term architecture strategy and IT roadmaps across key segments and solution domains (short-term insurance, life insurance, insurance-related products).
Participate in proof of concepts (POCs) to define technology direction.
Conduct risk/impact analysis on proposed technologies to ensure continuity and stability.
Own and drive impact assessments for change requests and new projects.
Governance & Delivery Enablement
Ensure effective handover of architecture designs to project delivery and production support teams.
Provide architectural governance, standards, and design reviews.
Validate deployed infrastructure against original design parameters and address capacity constraints.
Identify process-related improvements and support business case development.
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal stakeholders and business teams to identify suitable technology solutions.
Communicate and validate architecture with:
o Infrastructure teams
o Software development teams
o Project management teams
o IT management teams
Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide specialized support during change design and planning phases.

5. Knowledge & Experience Requirements
Experience – Essential
10+ years in enterprise IT environments (on-premise and cloud).
6+ years development experience.
Minimum 3 years as Project Lead delivering enterprise solutions.
Ability to write and review architectural design documents.
Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Experience – Preferable
Experience in BFSI industry.
