Security Guard

Key responsibilities:

1. Monitor premises: Security guards are responsible for patrolling and inspecting property to protect against vandalism, theft, and other illegal activities.

2. Maintain security: They enforce security regulations to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and disturbances in the workplace.

3. Respond to emergencies: Security guards must be prepared to respond to alarms, calls for help, and other emergencies promptly and effectively.

4. Report incidents: They document any suspicious activities, incidents, or violations of security policies and procedures for further investigation.

5. Provide customer service: Security guards often interact with employees, visitors, and clients, so they must have good communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide assistance and directions when needed.

Required skills and expectations:

1. Physical fitness: Security guards may need to stand or walk for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

2. Alertness: They must remain vigilant and attentive to quickly identify and address security threats.

3. Communication skills: Security guards should be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and emergency services.
