Job Purpose
To develop and manage the sales of veterinary medicines, animal health products, feed supplements, and related products by building strong relationships with veterinary doctors, distributors, dealers, retailers, farms, and institutional customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Develop new customers, dealers, distributors, and institutional accounts.
Generate regular business from existing customers.
Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's product reach.
Conduct regular market visits and maintain effective territory coverage.
2. Customer & Veterinary Relationship
Visit Veterinary Doctors, Poultry Farms, Dairy Farms, Dealers, Distributors, and Retailers regularly.
Promote and explain the company's veterinary products, benefits, usage, and applications.
Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with customers.
Collect market feedback regarding products, pricing, competition, and customer requirements.
3. Product Promotion
Promote veterinary medicines, feed supplements, nutritional products, and biological/animal-health solutions.
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when required.
Ensure proper communication of product information and company policies to customers.
Support product launches and promotional activities.
4. Order & Collection Management
Generate sales orders and coordinate with the office/team for timely order processing and dispatch.
Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collections as per company credit terms.
Maintain regular follow-up with customers regarding orders, payments, and pending requirements.
Coordinate with the accounts and dispatch teams for customer-related issues.
5. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor products, prices, schemes, promotions, and market activities.
Share regular market updates and competitor information with management.
Identify customer needs and provide feedback for new product development.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports as required.
Maintain customer visit reports and sales follow-up records.
Maintain accurate information regarding customers, orders, collections, and market activities.
Prepare and submit expense statements and other required reports on time.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.
New customer and dealer development.
Collection performance and outstanding control.
Customer retention and repeat business.
Number and quality of market/customer visits.
Product-wise sales growth.
Territory-wise business development.
Timely submission of sales and market reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline; ./B../m/MBA (Sales & Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Experience in veterinary pharmaceuticals, animal health, poultry, dairy, or feed supplements preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-management abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and email.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Preferred Experience
0-3 years for Sales Executive / Sales Officer.
Experienced candidates from the Veterinary, Poultry, Dairy, Animal Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, or Feed Supplement industry will be preferred.
