Job Description

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for assisting the sales team in achieving targets and providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a tidy and organized store environment.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience and possess a high school diploma (12th pass). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the Sales Assistant will be interacting with customers on a daily basis. Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team are also important qualities for this position.

The Sales Assistant is expected to be punctual, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the sales team are key to succeeding in this role. Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic math skills are preferred. Customer Assistance

Greet customers and understand their needs

Provide accurate product information and recommendations

Handle customer queries politely and professionally

Sales & Billing

Promote and sell products/services

Achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets

Prepare bills, invoices, and process payments (cash/card/UPI)

Product Knowledge

Maintain thorough knowledge of products, features, and pricing

Inform customers about offers, discounts, and schemes

Store / Showroom Management

Arrange and display products attractively

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area

Monitor stock levels and inform management for replenishment

Inventory Support

Assist in receiving, checking, and stocking goods

Conduct stock counts and report shortages or damages

Customer Relationship

Build and maintain good customer relationships

Handle basic complaints and escalate when required

Follow up with customers for repeat sales

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain sales records and daily reports

Update customer details and sales data in registers or systems

Team Coordination

Work closely with senior sales staff and supervisors

Support promotional activities and events

Skills Required

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer and billing software knowledge

Confidence and persuasion skills

Customer-focused attitude

Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
