we are an engineering company engaged in manufacturing cotton ginning machines and other small machinery supporting the overall cotton plant operations. we are looking for a qualified and experienced purchase manager to join our team.
position:
purchase manager
reporting to:
purchase head
key responsibilities:
manage procurement of raw materials, spare parts, and equipment required for manufacturing cotton ginning and related machines.
develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.
ensure timely availability of materials to support smooth production operations.
monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores for stock management.
evaluate supplier performance and ensure quality compliance.
support cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
required qualifications and experience:
bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
5 to 8 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in the engineering/machinery industry.
prior experience in handling procurement related to cotton ginning machines or similar machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
excellent communication and negotiation skills.
strong knowledge of vendor management and supply chain practices.
proficient in ms office and erp systems (preferred).
candidate profile:
male candidate below 40 years of age.
residing in or around amravati (maharashtra).
