Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Manager to lead and manage our procurement operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the earthmoving or construction equipment industry, and strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

€¢ Develop and implement an effective purchasing strategy aligned with business goals.

€¢ Review, approve, and process purchase orders in a timely and cost-effective manner.

€¢ Lead and supervise the purchasing team to ensure smooth operations and adherence to SOPs.

€¢ Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.

€¢ Negotiate with vendors for best pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.

€¢ Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and OEM vendors.

€¢ Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on quality, service, delivery, and price.

€¢ Schedule and track deliveries, ensuring timely supply chain operations.

€¢ Monitor inventory levels in collaboration with warehouse and service departments.

€¢ Resolve issues related to delays, discrepancies, or quality concerns.

€¢ Stay updated with market trends, price movements, and vendor innovations.

€¢ Travel to vendor locations and expos for sourcing and relationship building.

€¢ Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain audit-ready records.

€¢ Introduce and oversee adoption of modern purchasing tools and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

€¢ Graduate in Commerce/Engineering; MBA in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.

€¢ Minimum 8€“10 years of procurement experience in Earth Moving Machinery or Heavy Equipment dealership.

€¢ In-depth understanding of technical specifications and parts procurement for brands like JSB, Hitachi, Komatsu, CAT, CASE, etc.

€¢ Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

€¢ Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (Tally/SAP/Oracle).

€¢ Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.

€¢ High level of integrity, accountability, and detail orientation.

€¢ Willingness to travel as required.
