Project Engineer

OB DESCRIPTION FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Project Engineer to oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical and problem-solving skills, with experience in managing multiple small to medium-sized construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Planning & Management:

� Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

� Allocate resources efficiently and monitor project timelines.

2. Team Leadership:

� Assign responsibilities and ensure team members meet project objectives.

3. Project Pitch/ Presentation:

� Candidate must have strong presentation skill and answer any technical questions posed by the client in a confident and crisp manner. Candidate must be able to present a proposal in a concise and effective manner.

4. Vendor & Material Management:

� Source and negotiate with vendors for materials and services.

� Oversee procurement to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.

5. Technical Execution:

� Oversee laborers and sub vendors to ensure proper quality of work is executed.

� Guide skilled laborers on execution of formwork, bar bending, placing of reinforcement steel, concreting, blockwork, plastering, painting, tile laying, joineries, plumbing and other finishing works.

6. Compliance & Documentation:

� Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and legal requirements.

� Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and change orders.

QUALIFICATION:

Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

3- 10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in MSME firms. Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

� Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and regulations.

� Proficiency in project management tools (., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.

� Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

� Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

� Hands-on, result-oriented, and detail-focused.

� Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

� Strong technical knowledge in executing Civil and Plumbing Works

� Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

� Adaptability to handle the dynamic nature of MSME projects.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Strong command over both Tamil and English language (Spoken, Written)
