Production Manager

Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development

ï‚· Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to

ensure the cost effective integration of new products or for the

improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations

ï‚· Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from

the initial product conception to the finished result

ï‚· Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions

ï‚· Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods

and work instructions

ï‚· Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required

ï‚· Support the tender process for equipment to ensure the best quality for

best price

ï‚· Oversee installation of machinery and equipment

ï‚· Maintain statistical and financial records

ï‚· Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow,

space requirements and equipment layout

ï‚· Remove waste from the processes

ï‚· Organise plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss

of production time

ï‚· Plan and organise maintenance

ï‚· Respond to breakdowns

ï‚· Report down time and possible trends

ï‚· Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process

improvement activities

ï‚· Investigate production and process issues providing technical support and

training

ï‚· Contribute to continuous improvement activities

ï‚· Quality control of work by appropriate reviews

ï‚· Support and lead process improvement activities

ï‚· Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients

ï‚· Achieve goals within budget

ï‚· Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and

future trends
