Job Description

Talent Zone Consultant is hiring a Director of Product Development (Mechanical) for a leading manufacturing organization in Bengaluru. The role will lead end-to-end mechanical product development, from concept and design through prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and product launch.

Key Responsibilities

Lead New Product Development (NPD) and Product Development initiatives from concept to commercialization.

Drive mechanical design, prototyping, testing, validation, and product industrialization.

Ensure designs meet DFM/DFA, quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.

Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering teams.

Lead design reviews, FMEA, root-cause analysis, engineering changes, and continuous product improvement.

Manage product development timelines, technical risks, resources, and project deliverables.

Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners for component development and technical feasibility.

Drive cost optimization, value engineering, process improvement, and product quality initiatives.

Mentor and guide product development and mechanical engineering teams.
