Database Administration (DBA)

• Manage, monitor, and administer relational databases (., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Perform routine health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

• Manage user roles, permissions, and database security policies.

Operational Support

• Provide L2/L3 support for database-related incidents and service requests.

• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and optimization.

• Support deployments, schema changes, and release activities in SIT, UAT, and Production environments.

Backup, Recovery & High Availability

• Implement and manage regular backup schedules, ensuring successful recovery testing.

• Set up and monitor replication, clustering, and other HA/DR mechanisms.

• Participate in DR drills and data recovery procedures.

Monitoring & Automation

• Utilize monitoring tools (., OEM, SolarWinds, Prometheus) to proactively detect performance and availability issues.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for repetitive DBA tasks (using Shell/PowerShell/PL-SQL etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of database configurations, SOPs, maintenance plans, and access logs.

• Prepare database performance reports, audit summaries, and RCA for major issues.
