As a Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the organization€™s network infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex networking issues, work closely with other IT staff to ensure network stability and performance, and provide assistance to end-users regarding connectivity and access issues. This role is critical in ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and optimized to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the organization€™s networks to identify issues and potential areas of improvement. Regularly perform system health checks, backups, and diagnostics.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues related to connectivity, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks. Ensure minimal downtime and prompt resolution.
Network Configuration and Support: Configure, test, and deploy network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
Network Security: Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures. Monitor for potential threats and vulnerabilities, working closely with the IT security team.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. Create incident reports and maintain logs.
User Support: Provide technical support for internal users regarding connectivity issues, access requests, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with IT Teams: Work with other IT staff on projects, upgrades, and troubleshooting that involve network resources. Assist in network design and upgrades as needed.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Certifications (preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification.
Experience: 0 - 2 years of experience in network support.
