Melting Incharge - Full Time

A Melting Supervisor in a green sand casting plant is responsible for overseeing the induction or cupola furnace operations. Their primary goal is to produce and deliver molten metal of specific temperature and chemical composition to the molding lines on time, while strictly adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Core Responsibilities

Furnace Operations & Process ControlCharge Preparation: Calculate and prepare charge mixes (pig iron, steel scrap, returns) based on the target alloy composition.

Melting Parameters: Monitor and control furnace power, pouring temperatures, and melting rates.

Metallurgical Control: Conduct spectrographic analysis to ensure chemical composition meets company standards.

Lining Maintenance: Plan and oversee the lining, sintering, and patching of induction furnaces and ladles to prolong refractory life.

Production & CoordinationSchedule Alignment: Coordinate closely with the green sand molding and pouring departments to ensure a continuous supply of molten metal.

Timing: Ensure pouring is completed within strict time windows to avoid casting defects like fading or dross (., ensuring SG iron pouring is completed within 8 minutes).

Traceability: Maintain precise heat logs and box traceability (first box/last box) for quality control
