We're collaborating with a leading global fleet management company to find a dedicated Marine Safety Manager for their team in Mumbai!

Job Description

The Safety Manager will play a primary role in leading a key department focused on reducing crew injuries on board through behavioral change training. You'll be responsible for driving desired behavioral changes and ensuring a reduction in careless incidents across the Vessel.

This pivotal role involves leading the department and providing direction to junior management and personnel. Your responsibilities will include:

Content development for the company’s Behavior Based Training Program.

Preparing educational material such as module summaries and videos.

Supervising training delivery for the Safety program.

Overseeing implementation of Safety related tools on board vessels.

Conducting evaluations to identify areas for improvement within the program.

Assisting in preparing Safety program budgets.

Desired candidate qualification and experience:

Who We're Looking For:

We're seeking candidates who fit one of these profiles:

Master Mariner with a minimum of 12 months sailing experience on any type of main fleet vessel.

OR a candidate with shore-based experience as a Superintendent (Technical, Marine, etc.) with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of onshore experience, who has sailed as a Master Mariner.
