Put a Vacancy for Purchase & Quality Control Executive
1. Purchase Management
- Collect purchase requirements for production Obtain quotations from approved suppliers.
- Compare prices, quality, lead time and payment terms.
- Negotiate rates and finalize suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Maintain a PO tracker showing PO quantity, rate, expected delivery date and actual receipt.
- Follow up with suppliers until material is delivered.
- Ensure purchases are made only against approved requirements.
2. Material Receiving & Quantity Checking
When material arrives, the person should check:
- Supplier name and PO number
- Material/item received against PO
- Quantity ordered vs. quantity received
- Packing and physical condition
- Short/excess quantity
- Correct colour, size, GSM, fabric, specification, etc.
- Delivery challan/invoice against PO
3. Quality Checking
Depending on the material, check:
- Fabric quality and composition
- GSM
- Colour/shade
- Width
- Shrinkage, defects, stains or weaving/knitting issues
- Printing/embroidery quality where applicable
- Accessories specifications
- Packaging quality
- They should not simply sign that material has arrived
- They should record whether it is Accepted / Partially Accepted / Rejected.
4. Supplier Performance
- Maintain a supplier-wise record of:
- Quality issues
- Short quantity
- Late deliveries
- Price changes
- Rejections/returns
- Replacement time
- Overall supplier performance
