Import Specialist – China Imports (two-wheeler Accessories)

1. China Vendor & Supplier Management:

 Coordinate with China suppliers for order confirmation, production updates, and shipment schedules,

and new supplier development.

 Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

 Experience managing Alibaba B2B accounts and international suppliers.

 Assist procurement in price negotiations, MOQ discussions, and sourcing strategies.

2. Import Operations & Logistics:

 Manage end-to-end import operations from CHINA to INDIA, USA,UK,EUROPE

 Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.

 Track shipments, monitor timelines, and proactively resolve delays.

 Optimize freight and logistics costs via route and mode selection.

3. Customs & Compliance:

 Ensure compliance with Indian customs regulations, duties, and import documentation.

 Prepare and verify import documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and

certificates of origin.

 Stay updated on import/export regulations, HS codes, and duty structures specific to two-wheeler

accessories.

4. Reporting & Documentation:

 Maintain accurate records of all imports from China, including shipment status, invoices, and customs

clearance.

 Provide regular reports to management on delivery timelines, cost analysis, and import efficiency.

 Collaborate with finance for LC management, payment schedules, and foreign currency transactions.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization:

 Identify opportunities to reduce import costs, lead times, and risks associated with Chinese imports.

 Suggest process improvements for import operations and vendor coordination.

 Work closely with the supply chain team to streamline inventory replenishment.

Qualifications & Skills:

 Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field.

 3-5 years of experience handling imports from China, preferably in automotive or two-wheeler

accessories.

 Strong understanding of Chinese suppliers, shipping practices, and INCOTERMS.

 Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.

 Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 Knowledge of customs clearance, HS codes, duties, and import regulations.
