Role Overview
The ICU RMO is responsible for providing continuous medical care to critically ill patients, assisting consultants, and managing day-to-day ICU operations in a structured hospital environment. The role demands clinical expertise, quick decision-making, and adherence to standardized protocols for patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor critically ill patients, assess vital signs, and promptly report clinical changes to ICU consultants.
• Initiate basic emergency interventions and support advanced life-saving procedures under supervision.
• Assist in intubation, extubation, central line insertion, arterial line monitoring, and other ICU procedures.
• Manage ventilator settings, oxygen therapy, and infusion medications as per ICU protocols.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, perfusionists, and allied healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
• Document patient history, ICU observations, interventions, and treatment plans accurately.
• Participate in Code Blue, rapid response, and resuscitation efforts.
• Review lab results, ABG, ECG, and imaging reports to support clinical decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and quality protocols.
• Liaise with patient families regarding care updates, treatment plans, and progress.

Qualification & Experience
• Education: BAMS/BHMS / MBBS with valid medical registration.
• Experience: 1–2 years in ICU or critical care preferred.
• Certifications: BLS mandatory; ACLS preferred.
