General Manager Pre Opening Hotel

The Mission: We are seeking a heavyweight hospitality veteran to lead the pre-opening and operational launch of one of the region’s most significant hospitality assets. This is not a traditional GM role; you will act as the owner’s representative, driving construction completion, building the commercial strategy, and curating a portfolio of international restaurant brands.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Opening Technical Services: Lead the snagging process, coordinate with contractors, and ensure the operational readiness of 740 keys and extensive back-of-house facilities.

2. Brand Integration: Negotiate and operationalize franchise agreements with international F&B brands, adapting menus and supply chains to the local context.

3. Talent Acquisition: Recruit, house, and train a workforce of 800+ associates, fostering a culture of genuine hospitality despite a challenging environment.

4. Security & Safety: Co-develop the property’s security architecture and crisis management plans, ensuring the safety of guests and staff without compromising the luxury experience.

5. Commercial Launch: Build relationships with the diplomatic community, NGOs, and regional corporate travel buyers to secure a strong opening pipeline.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years in senior leadership, with 3+ years as a GM.

• Proven track record of opening a large-box hotel (400+ rooms).

• Experience in conflict-affected or severe hardship locations is highly valued.

• Strong F&B branding and licensing knowledge.
