Key Job Responsibilities of Ground Staff:
Passenger Service & Check-in:
Greeting passengers, verifying travel documents (passports, tickets), and issuing boarding passes.
Assisting special assistance passengers (elderly, unaccompanied minors, passengers with disabilities).
Managing check-in counters and assisting with seat allocation.
Managing boarding gates, making announcements, and ensuring timely boarding.
Baggage & Cargo Management:
Tagging, screening, and, for ramp staff, loading/unloading luggage from the aircraft.
Handling lost, damaged, or misplaced baggage complaints.
Ramp & Technical Operations:
Guiding aircraft to parking bays (marshalling).
Coordinating ramp services, including refueling, cabin cleaning, catering, and luggage loading.
Performing aircraft pushback and towing, and ensuring safety compliance on the airside.
Security & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and security protocols for passengers and luggage.
Working with security personnel to prevent unauthorized access.
Operational Coordination:
Providing flight information, handling delays, and coordinating with flight crew and dispatch control.
Updating flight databases and managing terminal passenger flow.
