Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensuring timely booking and provisioning for timely closure of books.
Ensuring budgets allocated are adhered to and exceptions if any are monitored and handled as per set process.
Ensures vendor reconciliation for top Inventory/capex and Utility vendors.
Organizes and oversees the schedules of MIS staff.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Ensures timely reports are published for open GRN and PO, Budget v/s Actual.
Handles internal and external auditors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure maintenance of the books of accounts for the company.
Timely completion of reconciliation for vendors (as listed above).
Follow up with the respective team to ensure closure of open items identified in the reconciliation.
Follow up with vendors for ensuring closure of open points and sign off for reconciliation.
Ensures stable operation by consistently scheduling and implementing updates and functionality tests; identifies and resolves any issues that are identified during the testing process.
Develops, teams, and implements processes as laid down by the department.
Schedules and produces periodic reports regarding performance.
Analyses and recommends changes to maximize productivity for all teams.
Collaborates with other departments and support vendors to ensure timely Invoice submission and settlement.
Create and monitor systems on controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
Should have knowledge of SAP in handling Fixed Asset Accounting.
Should have knowledge of preparing working and monitoring budget v/s actuals.
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
Track open purchase order, GRN’s and ensure the same is closed in co-ordination with respective departments.
Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs (Asset retirement obligation) are applicable.
Ensure periodic physical counts of fixed assets done by projects teams are updated in system with proper approvals.
Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.
Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
Represent the company during any audits by tax/statutory auditors that involve fixed assets.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of SAP with Fixed Assets and Excel systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Organized with attention to detail.
Working knowledge of various computer operating systems and interfaces.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors/master’s degree in commerce preferably Inter CA.
At least five to seven years of Reconciliation, fixed asset accounting experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role, required.
