project overview: manas foundation is initiating a new program designed to bring about transformative change in the working and service environment of public transport systems. this initiative seeks to create a conducive environment that enables women to become equal partners in workforce participation and transport service usage. the program aims to enhance the visibility of women in traditionally male-dominated roles within the transport sector, thereby fostering greater acceptance of their presence in such positions.

roles and responsibilities:

conduct capacity-building workshops with bus conductors and drivers.

facilitate support groups for drivers and conductors to encourage discussions on gender sensitization and workplace inclusivity.

conduct impact assessments to measure the effectiveness of the training sessions and suggest necessary improvements.

collaborate with stakeholders to promote gender-equitable workspaces within the public transport sector.

document and report findings from workshops and support group meetings.
