EXPORT ASSISTANT
o Qualification; Bachelors degree 5 years / Plus 2 - 10 years of experience of related experience in seafood industries company, Sea ports freight forwarder, export house in Thoothukudi /Chennai/cochin.
Essential Skill Requirements: -
o Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures.
o Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.
o Communicate with appropriate internal/external agencies related to the port custom, freight forwarders, shipping agencies company including loading facilities, brokers, vendors.
o Ensure timely processing of export shipments.
o Ensure compliance with export laws and regulations
o Verify sanctioned party screenings prior to release of export documents
o Create, assemble and present applicable export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with export laws and regulations.
o Submit timely document instructions to freight forwarders, independent surveyors and other third-party industry providers.
o Maintain export files in an organized and catalogued system
o Maintains a database that tracks merchandise.
o Processes claims on merchandise shortages and overages.
o Create loading instructions for loading elevators.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
