We have an urgent requirement for PCB Assembler/PCB Tester for our Production division.
About Company -We are a leading manufacturer of Analytical Instruments, Gas Chromatographs, and Gas Analyzers, serving a wide range of industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, research, food processing, and petrochemical sectors.
Job Purpose
The Apprentice will undergo on-the-job training (OJT) to gain hands-on skills in installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial, electronic, and pneumatic instruments. The goal is to ensure the smooth operation of machines on assembly line.
Key tasks include reading technical drawings, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting instrument faults, and maintaining a clean, safe workplace in compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Calibration and Testing: Assist in daily production related activities and calibrating instruments like pressure gauges, flow meters, transmitters, and control valves.
Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and fix faults in electronic components, circuits, or pneumatic systems.
Installation: Support the installation of new instruments, including piping, wiring, and mounting, as per blueprints and circuit diagrams.
Cleaning & Inspection: Perform routine cleaning and Inspection of instruments and mechanical components and maintain 5s in workplace.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to industrial safety rules and environmental regulations, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation: Assist in writing maintenance reports and documenting technical parameters in reports.
Required Qualifications
Education: ITI in Electronics, Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, or Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant).
Eligibility: Must meet Apprenticeship Act criteria (min 18 years)
Required Skills
Technical Skills: Basic soldering, multi-meter operation, electronic component familiarity, pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge.
Hands-on Capability: Use of hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches).
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of electrical hazards and fire safety.
Soft Skills: Teamwork, willingness to learn, ability to follow written instruction.
