As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be a vital part of our IT team in Chennai, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems. Your primary role will be to provide technical support to users and maintain hardware and software functionality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **User Support:** Assist employees with technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals to ensure they can perform their tasks without interruptions.

- **Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve hardware and software problems, using diagnostic tools and techniques to restore functionality as quickly as possible.

- **Installation and Configuration:** Set up new desktops and laptops, installing necessary software, drivers, and configuring settings according to company policies.

- **Maintenance:** Perform regular maintenance checks on hardware and software to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.

- **Documentation:** Keep detailed records of support requests, solutions provided, and hardware inventory to maintain transparency and assist in future troubleshooting efforts.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**
