Job Summary

The Design Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and improving products, components, and systems by applying engineering principles, creativity, and technical expertise. The role involves creating detailed designs, drawings, and specifications while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, quality, cost, and compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for components, assemblies, and systems

Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software

Perform design calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis

Modify and improve existing designs based on performance, cost, or customer feedback

Engineering Documentation

Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documents

Ensure design documentation follows company standards and version control practices

Support change management through ECO / ECN processes
